Instead of what I wore last week which was a whole lot of undocumented sweatpants and sweatshirts. I decided that this would be a What I Wore This Year: My Top 10 Wardrobe Pieces of 2020.

In other words, the 10 pieces that I wore the most.

I’ll get back into the habit of daily outfit postings this week, now that the girls’ Christmas break is over and we will have some semblance of a routine again.

Some of these pieces are low stock or sold out now, but there are often other colourways or similar styles that would check all the boxes too.

Have I mentioned how much I thoroughly dislike wrapping presents? Not only do I not like it, but I am also very bad at it.

I’ve watched a million of those tutorials for pretty and easy wrapping techniques and I still suck.

Although I did manage to get through wrapping about half of the presents today.

I am wearing a Madewell wrap shirt, Abercrombie jeans, and Everlane bpots.

I am wearing a cashmere jumpsuit, oversized cardigan, and a shacket, with Vejas and a Zara bag.

I am wearing a blue button up, Everlane Blazer, Levis, Isabel Marant boots, and a Zara Bag.

I am wearing a grey cardigan, navy striped blazer, wide leg jeans, Vejas and a Zara Bag.

I just finished baking a cake for Merle’s 10th birthday which is tomorrow. I can’t believe she will be double digits. Can we freeze it for a bit? Because this time flies shit is insane.

She wanted a chocolate cake with cherry filling between the layers which meant that I had to bake instead of buy. I used this recipe and substituted the icing in between the layers for cherry pie filling.

We shall see how it tastes.

Roo (my teenager) woke up today with a stuffy, runny nose and a slightly sore throat and of course I am freaking the eff out.

She literally has not left the house since this new lockdown started two weeks ago, and Tom gets tested at work every Monday for Covid, so I don’t know where she would have contracted it.

I’m leaning towards a cold.

This past week was a 3 outfit kind of week because a lot went on and I just couldn’t be bothered getting dressed some days.

Tomorrow is our annual building smoke detector test, where they go into each unit to make sure that they are functioning properly.

That means I have a lot of cleaning to do before bed since they will be in our unit anywhere between 9am and 5pm.
