What I Wore This Week

I am wearing a Madewell wrap shirt, Abercrombie jeans, and Everlane bpots.

I am wearing a cashmere jumpsuit, oversized cardigan, and a shacket, with Vejas and a Zara bag.

I am wearing a blue button up, Everlane Blazer, Levis, Isabel Marant boots, and a Zara Bag.

I am wearing a grey cardigan, navy striped blazer, wide leg jeans, Vejas and a Zara Bag.

I just finished baking a cake for Merle’s 10th birthday which is tomorrow. I can’t believe she will be double digits. Can we freeze it for a bit? Because this time flies shit is insane.

She wanted a chocolate cake with cherry filling between the layers which meant that I had to bake instead of buy. I used this recipe and substituted the icing in between the layers for cherry pie filling.

We shall see how it tastes.

Roo (my teenager) woke up today with a stuffy, runny nose and a slightly sore throat and of course I am freaking the eff out.

She literally has not left the house since this new lockdown started two weeks ago, and Tom gets tested at work every Monday for Covid, so I don’t know where she would have contracted it.

I’m leaning towards a cold.

This past week was a 3 outfit kind of week because a lot went on and I just couldn’t be bothered getting dressed some days.

Tomorrow is our annual building smoke detector test, where they go into each unit to make sure that they are functioning properly.

That means I have a lot of cleaning to do before bed since they will be in our unit anywhere between 9am and 5pm.

Literal lineups for grocery stores all over the city when they are not even closing. It’s funny how people never learn.

In the year 2000, I bought a coat. It was knee-length, brown corduroy with a large faux fur collar. I loved that coat. I wore it everywhere for years.

Even though it wasn’t winter weather appropriate I wore it anyway.

I wore it so much that the fur started to turn pink from the wash-out pink streaks I used to put in my hair.

Then sometime in the mid 2000’s it disappeared.
