It’s Not Easy Being Green Capsule Wardrobe for Fall

Most often when I am building a capsule wardrobe I will start with one piece as inspiration and then create the rest of the capsule wardrobe around this central piece.

It usually dictates a specific style and colour theme which makes everything flow, but sometimes I just want to focus on a particular colour and build it all around that colour.

One of my all-time favourite colour combinations is dark green and camel, which makes sense because my favourite gemstone combination is emerald and yellow gold.

For this fall capsule wardrobe, I wanted to make it based around dark green.

I wanted to add enough green touches that every outfit I together have something green incorporated in it, but not so many that the entire wardrobe was green.

I was trying to keep it balanced while still focusing on the colour green which was easy to do by adding green shoes, purses, and accessories as well.

The weather shifted a bit today which allowed me to go all out fall wardrobe, although it is supposed to shift back into the opposite direction again for the next week or so which bums me out.

This fall capsule wardrobe made me realize how much I love green, but how little of it I actually have in my closet.

And I plan on making a more conscientious effort to remedy that.

I originally was going to use this green blazer, but I wanted to keep it more focused on the green, while that blazer would need to have brighter and bolder colours mixed with it because of the pink.

I still love it though, but it would work better in a colourful capsule wardrobe.

Can we also talk about how underrated capes are?

They are such a piece of visual interest in an outfit, and there are so many styles and colours both vintage and new.

They can really just elevate any basic outfit into something so chic. I love this one that I included today, but I already own a Cuyana Cape and have no need for a second.

No matter how much I keep telling myself that I do.

Although I really like the design of it. It is much more geometric, and a bit more sophisticated in its style which I love.

Enough of that, and back to another colour combination.

Along with my love of green and camel, I also love green with animal print which plays off the camel as well.

There is just something so lux about this combination.

Speaking of animal print, do you want to see my fall dream coat?

This is it.

It’s perfect.

I missed out on a 1960s animal print swing jacket on Etsy last year, and I am so disappointed.

It would have been a good alternative (actually even better) to this one and wouldn’t cost over a thousand dollars.

I am now manifesting a lottery win for myself.

If I won the lottery my vintage wardrobe would be incredible.

So I am manifesting again.
