Wardrobe Essentials for a Spring Capsule Wardrobe

It’s hard to get into a spring capsule wardrobe mindset when it is cold outside, and it’s been pretty cold this past week. But I like to start thinking about it before winter is over for a couple of reasons:

  1. Stores begin to sell merchandise a season early, and it is nice to get a jump on things.
  2. It is something to look forward to during the darkest and most depressing months of the year. And boy, it’s pretty depressing this year.

Tick Tock, we are supposed to find out tonight or tomorrow whether we get the condo rental we applied for yesterday. If it all works out we will get it for March 1st.

Which means that we would have two months to slowly move from this apartment to the next since we have to give 60 days notice in our current unit.

And I am not counting my chickens before they are hatched and giving the notice right now.

Today the weather was cold, but the sun was brightly shining. and there was an actual warmth to the wind which reminded me of when spring is starting to come.

Ignore the disaster that is my background :/ So much crap, so little room. While I miss Value Village because it is not open at the moment, I don’t miss the amount of home decor and miscellaneous yet awesome pieces we buy that we don’t have room for.

Speaking of not having room, we went to look at another condo today.

Same building but 10 floors up from ours, on the opposite side of the building, so a much better view.

It is really hard to get into the mindset of spring capsule wardrobes right now when it was really cold AF outside. I really wanted to wear a dress today so I ended up with jogging pants layered underneath.

That’s the way that it goes when you live in a really cold climate.

At the start of quaratine last year…was it really almost a year ago? It’s crazy.

Do you know what is nice? When you find some money that you hid away at the beginning of the original lockdown that you forgot about.

Tom had sold a guitar or something and told me to hide the cash as emergency money when we weren’t sure about working over the last almost year because he knew he would spend it.

I did and then I forgot about it.
