I think this is the first day that we have lived in this new apartment that I have woke up to rain. I love it. Overcast and rainy is my favourite weather.
We also managed to fix the balcony screen door today. The screen was already coming off and had a shoddy repair job done to it, but during a windstorm two weeks ago it literally blew most of the screen completely off.
We haven’t been able to have the balcony door open since then, because of no screen and the cat. It has been getting terribly stuffy in here.
We now live on the sunny side of the building so it gets pretty hot throughout the day if you don’t have any air circulation.
It reminds me of our first apartment when we moved to Toronto. It was so sunny and hot that we didn’t have to turn the heat on one single time that year.
Our friend who lived on the opposite side of the building was always cold. The differences between the two sides temperature-wise were crazy.
It’s supposed to rain all week, and it is technically spring break. Although the girls are homeschooled we often follow the public school break schedule.
Not this time.
They had an extended holiday from us moving and now that I have finally found all of our school stuff we will start back tomorrow.
We’ll just go longer into the summer to make up for the time.
They don’t like the summer heat anyway so it works out perfectly.
I forgot how much I love that black jumpsuit above. I bought it at Zara 3-4 years ago for $25 and it’s still in great condition.
I also really appreciate how loose and comfortable it is. I didn’t really think about it much before, but after this year I truly get it 😉
On a fun note, I love blankets. I really love the sherpa blankets from Steven Rhodes with the awesome vontage inspired grpahics on front.
They put out a new design and I want this one for me. The girls each have one for their beds and the 60″x80″ is perfectly oversized for a regular size kids bed (twin).
They are thick, super soft, and wash really well.
