How to Wear a Pink Blazer

How to Style a Blazer

One Pink Blazer Styled 8 Ways

SHOP THE POST

Blazers are a wardrobe staple for me, but I tend to go for neutrals like black, tan, and a brown checkered blazer that I bought at the Zara sale last year.

I was feeling a little adventurous in the fall and bought a bright blue one that has a very 80s feel to me, and is super fun to wear but it doesn’t get as much wear as my neutral go-tos.

I love pink, but tend to shy away from it because I find that it can be hard to wear, so when Everlane offered to send me this blush pink blazer from their spring/summer release this month I thought it was a good opportunity to infuse some colour into my normally neutral wardrobe.

It is an oversized fit if you get your regular size, so size down if you like it a little more tailored. I am wearing it in my regular size for reference.

It is soft, drapes nicely, and is lightweight for the warmer months.

This was a fun change to dig through my wardrobe and see if I can figure out how to wear a pink blazer by using the clothes I already own.

If you are looking on how to style a blazer that isn’t a neutral then this might help you out.

These are the 8 ways to style a blazer that I came up with.

Outfit 1: Blazer and Joggers

When in doubt throw a blazer over it. This rule works with your athleisure or exercise wear as well.

When I forgot to buy lottery tickets this week and was still rushing out to get them while wearing my exercise clothes, I just threw this blazer over the top.

Outfit 2: A Blazer with White Tee

These pants are some of the most versatile pants that I owned. I posted about them a while back and showed how I styled them 4 ways. Since then I have worn them a million other ways.

I tend to wear them cuffed since I am 5’3″, but they still skim the ankles while uncuffed.

The pink blazer is made from the same fabric as the pants and they have shorts to match that you can see in yesterdays Easy Summer Outfits for Women post.

Outfit 3: Monochromatic Outfit with Pink Blazer

Blazer | T-shirt | Jeans | Boots | Purse

In this one I am wearing the same tee that I wore in outfit 1, but I ma pairing it with black jeans, boots, and my new Zara purse.

I actually ordered this purse in the grey denim and blue denim to see which one I liked the best. The grey one is the “Zara it bag” on Instagram. If you search the #zarabags Instagram hashtag it is in every second photo.

I ended up keeping both bags :/

Outfit 4: Blazer and Leggings

I haven’t worn these leggings in a long time because I was getting bored with the same outfits. This is a new one and I love it.

The sweatshirt is really oversized with big loose sleeves and I can still wear this blazer over the top easily which I love. I really hate when you can’t layer under a blazer because the sleeves are too tight.

Outfit 5: Pink Blazer and Pastels Outfit

I wouldn’t normally think that I was a pastel person but this outfit is my favourite out of the bunch.

Maybe it’s my favourite perfectly faded jeans, or the easy to wear blouse, and comfortable sandals. Whatever the reason the combination works and will be in regular rotation.

Outfit 6: Blazer with a Slip Dress

We are back to one of my other favourite wardrobe staples that works in any season. a black slip dress. Although I think a light pink slip dress, white, or even a pastel blue or purple would also look great.

In this case I am carrying a summer bag, but with some heels, and a clutch you could take this look out into the night if that was still a thing 😉

Outfit 7: Blazer and Band Tee

I bought this t-shirt a couple of years ago and it is still one of my favourites. I love to pair it with these high waisted Levis Ribcage that actually make me look like I have a waistline.

*These flats were also sent to me by EVerlane and are the 40 Flat in Reknit. The are really comfortable as well as being slightly open weave knit to allow for breathability in the summer.

This is the blue denim version of the Zara bag above. I love how this is very 80s rock. That’s why I couldn’t just pick one.

Outfit 8: Blazer with a Jumpsuit

Although this outfit might be slightly difficult to get out of when you have to go to the bathroom, I still love how simple yet chic it is.

If you were ever wondering how to wear a blazer, especially how to wear a coloured blazer then I hope this post gave you some ideas.

I know there is a lot of black and neutrals, and honestly trying to make some blazer outfits with this shade of pink made me realize how much colour my wardrobe lacks.

I think I am going to actively try to select colours that are out of my comfort zone.
