How to Wear a Jumpsuit Different Ways

If you are wondering how to wear a jumpsuit then you came to the right place, because today I have one jumpsuit styled seven different ways.

Last week’s post One Pair of Pants Styled 4 Ways was such a hit that I have decided that maybe this will become a regular type of post.

It probably won’t be every week but when I find a piece that I want to style a few different ways.

I kind of piggybacked off last week’s post with the items that I included in these styled looks.

I took a lot of the same pieces that I used to style the looks last week in order to show you how you can wear the same pieces over, and over and still achieve completely different looks.

Everlane gifted me this jumpsuit at the end of March/beginning of April along with the trousers from last week from the spring new releases.

I wanted to style the jumpsuit more than 4 ways for several reasons.

First, a lot of people don’t think that jumpsuits are versatile. Since they include both a top and a bottom your options might seem limited.

If you think that you can’t come up with different ways to wear a jumpsuit, you definitely can with a little creativity.

Second, jumpsuits are also thought to be mostly a warm-weather piece and I wanted to show you how you can change it up throughout each season to get the most use out of it.

Please Excuse the dirty mirror. It makes it look like there is fuzz on the jumpsuit but it was just the residue from the cloth that I used to wipe it down. I didn’t see it until after. I need to find some fuzz-free cloths.

Jumpsuit | White T-shirt | Crossbody | Converse Hi Tops

This is the Japanese GoWeave Slip Jumpsuit which is a little fancier than some of their other styles that Everlane carries. It drapes really well and doesn’t really wrinkle.

If you are looking for a lighter weight jumpsuit they also have the Luxe Cotton Jumpsuit (I really like the toasted coconut colour), and Linen Square Neck Jumpsuit for the sleeveless styles.

The Linen Short Sleeve Jumpsuit, and the Modern Utility Jumpsuit are great styles if you are looking for a little more coverage.

I sized down in this jumpsuit based on reviews of other similar styles and it was a good decision.

I am also very happy where they hit on my leg in length because I thought that I would have to shorten them.

They definitely aren’t as cropped on me as they are on the model, but they are short enough to be breezy, yet still long enough that they fit over boots nicely which is what I like.

Jumpsuit | White Blouse | Knee High Boots | Purse

My brown knee-high boots above are back in stock after being sold out for months. They are a great pair of boots and I got a lot of use out of them this season.

My goal with these posts is to show you that you can have a smaller wardrobe and still have a ton of things to wear.

Several of the pieces that I included in this post are older items that I own or were thrift finds. In this instance, I linked to similar items or items through second-hand retailers.

This is the main summer look in the bunch. You could easily wear it without any over it but since I don’t usually wear sleeveless shirts I like the coverage of this blouse.

It is a very lightweight and airy blouse which makes it very comfortable in the summer. I am an SPF 50 / hide from the sun type of person so having breathable clothes is important.

There is nothing more simple than tossing over an oversized blazer and slipping on some easy to walk in heeled boots to elevate a look. The colours in these two pieces unintentionally match really well too.

The boots I found on Poshmark for a stupidly good price. I would never have been able to afford these full price so it always pays to see what you can find on eBay or Poshmark if you are looking for something particular.

It is a little harder to find things on those sites when you are scrolling through pages not knowing what you are looking for, so try to have a goal in mind when you are looking in order to save time.

This is the dressier night out option. A leather moto is one of the key staple pieces in my wardrobe and is probably the jacket I get the most use out of.

Paired with a comfortable and easy to wear heels in a nice bold colour and you have your look. If you want to elevate it more you can put on some simple jewellery and maybe some red lipstick.

I consider this my french artist look. Stripes and a trench coat are the quintessential french wardrobe pieces and they work really well with this jumpsuit.

Not that I walk around carrying a baguette under my arm, but if I wanted to be cliche I totally could do that wearing this and no one would bat an eyelash 😉

Having a versatile wardrobe is one of the things that I focused on the most while building my own.

Whether you have a capsule wardrobe or don’t have a capsule wardrobe, this versatility is the key to making the most of what you have. This might actually be the reason that people might pass up adding a jumpsuit.

I just wanted to show you that they can work really well and get a lot of use if you pair with pieces that you already own. A few small changes can make a big difference when styling an outfit.

If there is an item in your wardrobe that you are stuck on how to wear please let me know and I will see if I can put something together.

My favourite look is the jumpsuit tucked into the one high boots, what is yours?
