Surprise, surprise, I actually documented 5 outfits of the day this week. That never happens so I thought it would be worth pointing out. I think the midweek cropped t-shirt motivated me.

I was really warm today which on one hand was nice, but on the other hand sucks because:
a) It means that the summer weather grossness is coming, and
b) The building’s air conditioning won’t be completely transferred to cool air until the 25th so sleeping is really uncomfortable. This side of the building gets a lot of sun, so it gets warm really quickly.

My husband texted me today and asked if I would go down to the front desk to pick up his zombie that arrived in the mail. I was like, “zombie? Huh?” I had no idea what he was talking about but I went and grabbed it. The thing was wrapped up in a way that made it look like a frozen turkey so my curiosity was piqued.

I left it on the counter for him to open when he got home from work and he just walked in the door about half an hour ago so it was a long wait to what the hell this thing was.

I am not one to jump on every trend that goes by. It’s too expensive and too wasteful to try to keep your wardrobe up to date in the trend department. This is why I think it is important to build a strong wardrobe foundation and basics and classic timeless pieces that will get you through more than a couple of seasons.

It’s after you have built that solid foundation, that you can start picking what trends you would like to sprinkle in that season.

Happy North American Mother’s Day. I had an accidental sleep today because I didn’t fall asleep until 4 am last night. Then when I got motivated I went upstairs to clean the other apartment which is a super fun way to spend the day.

At least we have almost closed that chapter. Now I need to find a steam cleaner for the rugs, which is hard because everything is closed still.
