I have done quite a few stay at home mom capsule wardrobes over the years, and it wasn’t until this week that I realized something. It’s a big thing too and maybe because it is such an ingrained part of our lives that I never really thought about it, but I definitely should have.

One of the top messages I get is from mothers at various stages of their motherhood journey who have lost their sense of self when it comes to style and dressing.

It’s like a before kids and after kids way that they think they should be dressing, which is super unfair because how many men do you know that have gone through this after having children?

Due to the grey weather blahs, I am feeling a little more colourful again this week with an Edgy capsule wardrobe. It is also making me want to dig deep into the depths of my wardrobe and pull out everything I have to inventory it, instead of just grabbing the easiest things at the front of the closet every day.

This will involve switching a couple of shelves around, which is my plan over the next couple of days.

Happy New Year. I’ve texted out Happy New Year many times over the last 24 hours and my autocorrect keeps changing it from Happy New Year to Happy New Tear, and I am trying my damnedest not to see this as a sign for 2022.

The last thing I need is more tears.

No resolutions for me because I won’t follow through with them. I know myself better than that now even though it is a nice thought to even think I would.
