We’ve been in this new apartment for a couple of weeks now, and I will say that this side of the building is way windier than the other.

I don’t ever recall hearing the wind whip so much or feel the rattle of the gusts in all the years we were in the other apartment. It’s crazy windy here today…or at least it sounds like it because I actually haven’t gone outside today.

I do love a good windy rainstorm, as long as I don’t have to go walk around in it. These windows are great for watching though.

Last week actually started warm. Warm enough to wear some spring items, but there is a chance of snow tonight in true Canadian fashion.

This week is the week that we promised ourselves we would get the rest of our stuff moved. It’s minor things that are left right now which is why it has been easier to ignore.

Although my bookcases are still up there and it will be nice to be able to empty out these boxes of books and get them out of the middle of the living room floor.

I did manage to get the fridge cleaned out this weekend which was a job that I was avoiding. I also took apart and cleaned my vacuum because it was looking pretty rough.

How do people keep their vacuums looking like new all the time?

I’m also fairly certain that 95% of the clothes in Merle’s closet (which are still in the old apartment) don’t fit her anymore either. She is a creature of habit and has been basically wearing the same 5 t-shirts, leggings, and sweatshirts for the last almost year.

Let’s not even get started on how often she doesn’t bother changing out her pyjamas either. That being said, there is a lot of clothes in her closet that she has not worn in forever, if not ever that I will have to go through.

I guess getting rid of them will be a lot easier than trying to find room for them. Maybe if I am motivated I will sell them on Poshmark in size bundles.

I hope you guys are well. The numbers are getting really high here again. This shit is crazy.

Stay safe.

  1. What is the brand name of the shoe you are wearing in photo 1? I can’t wear pointy toed shoes as they hurt my feet. I’m constantly on the look out for square toed heels that look fashionable and the pair in your photo look great. Appreciate the help in identifying the brand at least!
