We found an apartment! It was the one that we went to see last weekend that is in our building. Tom dropped off the cheque on Friday and we get the keys on Monday.

It needs to be painted before we start bringing stuff down which will be accomplished I have no idea when, but we haven’t even given notice for this place yet.

Weekly Reads and Finds

I am tired. Physically, and mentally. Once again they have pushed our lockdown for two more weeks. Toronto, Peel, and North Bay are the only cities that are still not open yet in the province.

We could easily drive to a city outside the boundaries to do something, but I am not going to be that person. That’s what got us to this point in the first place.

So two more weeks it is.

Well, we still haven’t heard back about the apartment. Waiting for other people to do their part is why I always sucked at teamwork. I HATE having to depend on someone else to get something done.

On a positive note, we are going to see another one that we nicknamed The Blue One, because of its sky blue walls.

I’m not a big fan of the blue (the girls like it), but I am sure we could paint it grey or something at some point.

Okay…so we went to look at two more condos today. They were both nice, but one was bigger and one was nicer. We quickly applied for the nicer one, only to be told that it rented before I even finished filling out the application.

That is how fast real estate moves here :/

Last week was the dishwasher (which is still leaking and not fixed) and this week was the car. This one is so obnoxious that it’s almost laughable.

A few weeks ago Tom left on a Monday morning to got to work.

He called me as soon as he got out of the garage (no cell reception down there) and said the car was making horrible sounds.

Weekly Reads and Finds

I am on a U2 kick tonight. We bought Roo (my teenager) a U2 album for Christmas but I actually misplaced it a while before Christmas. I just found it tonight and gave it to her.

Who doesn’t love a nice after Christmas surprise.

It inspired me to play on some U2 videos on YouTube while making this post. I hope she appreciates the album.
