It finally happened. We finally started to open back up again. Our province moved into level one reopening which means that non-essential businesses that have entrances that open to the outside can reopen.
This means that malls are still closed, well most stores. All the ones you can access from outside entrances are open, so we finally go to the bookstore today. It was nice.
I don’t think people quite understood what it means because the lineup to get into the mall was massive. I think they thought they could go shopping but in reality, the only things open were the Dollar Store, drugstore, post office, and the food court.
In other words, the exact same things as the entire lockdown. I bet they were pissed off when they go in there after waiting for that length of time.
I found a couple of books to read and we saw some cool leather-bound journal/notebooks. Nothing to exciting, but it was nice to just be able to look.
Oh yeah, and we saw a Lego set that we didn’t know existed.
