It looks like it is going to rain for the next 5+ days and I’m not going to complain about it. In fact, I am looking forward to it. It will be hot still so we can just sit on the balcony and enjoy the rain, maybe I will read a book during the actual day instead of 2 o’clock in the morning like I do every night.
I hit my 500th consecutive day on Duolingo today. I started just before the pandemic and am honestly surprised that I haven’t missed a day. Merle hit her 63rd consecutive day for German.
She’s actually pretty serious about it. I made French one of the mandatory classes my girls took because that is the second language that the schools teach here.
But neither one was interested and it was always a struggle to get them to retain anything because of that, so I let them pick as long as they would actually do it and not complain.
Merle chose German and Roo chose Russian (she wavered between Russian and Ukrainian).
Merle is more serious about it than Roo and it’s nice to see her work on it without me reminding her for once. It makes life a little easier.

- When I was in college in the Museum Studies program I had to do something like this on a much smaller scale that involved a horseshoe. It took a lot of after class hours to complete so I can only imagine how much time is invested in this cauldron.
