It is our 17th wedding anniversary today. Sometimes it seems so far away and then other times I can still remember the frustration and disappointment that people kept bringing me water.

Don’t get me wrong, I was appreciative that they even thought to bring me over something because it was a pretty good party and there was a lot of drinking involved, but I really, really hate water.

It makes me gag.

It also makes me thirstier for some reason, but that might just be psychological because of how much I hate it. Like a “see, I told you water sucks. It can’t even quench my thirst.” sort of situation.

I was around 4-5 months pregnant at the time and I think everyone just felt bad that I couldn’t drink alcohol like 99% of the rest of the guests, so they brought me pity water.

But all I actually really wanted was a really big juice and some cake.

You may ask yourself why I didn’t just get off my ass to get my own juice. The answer is that I had a lineup of water in front of me and didn’t want to be wasteful, so I gagged it down and drank water until I felt like I was floating.

That being said, someone finally did bring me over a juice and he became my favourite person of the night.
