l spent an inordinate amount of time today searching and researching vintage items. It’s easy for me to get lost in that world and I wish there was a realistic way I could turn that into a job because I love it.

It’s like the thrill of the hunt, but also the amazing pieces that you come across that you didn’t know existed but have now wormed their way into the “need now” section of your brain.

I also really love doing it in person, but I have to be in the mood and willing to look otherwise it is pointless. Weekday vintage shopping is preferable versus weekend. No explanation is necessary on why.

There is an oddities show Toronto the weekend of the 15th, and I really want to go. But I also am in the mindset where I don’t want to pay all the fees that go along with it like the entrance ticket fees, and ridiculous downtown driving and parking.

So I am on the fence of attending or doing a big thrifting day instead because it has been a while. We can’t do both. Maybe I will put it up for a vote. It could go either way because they are unpredictable.

I’m kind of missing thrifting, but it would also be super cool to find some off the wall oddity to bring home. Decisions.

I didn’t buy anything this week except for another vintage bed jacket. Yes, they are my current wardrobe weakness.

And just for some funsies, you can look through the Delia’s catalogues here. Go spend some time nostalgia scrolling.
