I often get questions about where I find inspiration to make different wardrobes every week. And if I am being honest, I frequently fly by the seat of my pants, but not always.
Wardrobe inspiration comes to me from different places, and sometimes all it takes is one key piece that influences the direction for where my capsule wardrobe ideas are heading for any particular week.
This week for this winter capsule wardrobe the central focus was the Adidas blazer because it was a wardrobe wish list item of mine that I was able to grab when it was on sale.
It has that very Scandinavian street style vibe, so I wanted to build a wardrobe that revolved around that same feeling.
Street style often has a very strong sporty element which is funny because using the style adjective sporty to describe my wardrobe isn’t something that I considered, but yet there is no denying the strong sporty feel to many of my pieces.
I guess because my brain has issues separating dressing sporty from being athletic, and the second one I am not.
I still get flashbacks from Andrew in my high school gym class yelling at me, “Sacrifice your knees!” during volleyball.
Andrew apparently didn’t know me very well.
