It is my 19th wedding anniversary today, so it has been one year since we had Toot because Tom bought him for me last anniversary.

Best little guy ever.

But, he was a little naughty this weekend causing me to be up until 6am on Friday night/Saturday morning because he kept getting into stuff and knocking shit over.

Needless to say, Saturday was rough. It was like going back to when my kids were young, and they wouldn’t sleep.

I definitely don’t miss those days.

During my hours of staying up to keep him out of trouble, I might have shopped online.

And I maybe found something that was inspiring me for fall. Maybe.

It might be this wrap cardigan here from Arket. Here is the UK link.

Arket for some reason doesn’t ship to the United States, I’m sorry. I have no idea why, because they used to.

I think this is the first company that I have seen that is willing to ship to Canada but not the U.S.

I wonder what issues with the logistics made them stop.

Back to the cardigan, I saw it and was immediately drawn to the texture and I wanted it.

Like it was that instantaneous gut pull feeling that you sometimes get. Fall is all about adding textures to your wardrobe so different chunky knits are a great way to start.

I was iffy about the size but based on my last purchase from there, and their sizing chart I went with a small which is a UK 8/10 or a US 4/6.

I am fully preparing myself for the duty charges, and I will be pleasantly surprised if there aren’t any.

It’s been really hot here, and I can’t stop looking for fall clothes. I also find myself not dressing weather appropriate which is why I ordered that black midi skirt that I wore this week.

I needed something that is lightweight but still has a feeling of fall in its appearance. Unfortunately, it is a cat hair magnet, so I always need a lint roller in my bag.

Sometimes when I am scouring the new arrival pages at places like Zara and H&M, I can tell when I should grab an item right away because I know just by looking at it that it will be popular and sell out fast.

Like that skirt. I think it was sold out by the next day, so it doesn’t leave much time to think it over. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and hope for the best, and my gut told me that cardigan was going to sell relatively quick.

And it doesn’t hurt that those two places are easy to return items to.

Anyway, yes it is summer, yes it has been a heatwave, and yes I am shopping for fall.

So while I hate summer, I actually like it since that is when fall merchandise comes out.

Yes, I am a contradictory person.
