It was a procrastination type of day and I wish I finished this earlier. Instead, I leisurely ate dinner and watched The Practice. Then drank some coffee and ate cookies while doing my French lessons.
Remember how I said I loathed the theme song/music to The Practice?
My oldest pointed out that it sounds like when someone plays all the random sounds on a keyboard. Like Ross Gellar did with his one-man band in Friends.
That made me appreciate it a bit more.
I bought some Isabel Marant purple sneaker wedges off of Poshmark this week.
This style is about 10 years old now so at the rate that fashion is trendy they are due back in style soon.
Not that I am concerned about that. If you read my post from yesterday I talk about how it is much more important to go about how you feel when purchasing something than worrying if it is trendy or cool.
You’ll have a wardrobe built on pieces you love versus pieces that you think you should love that have an expiration date.
It grosses some people out, but I love buying shoes secondhand. And these looked barely worn for being from around 2013-2015.
If you are willing to buy secondhand shoes, you can get a pair that you would never normally be able to afford.
It opens new fashion worlds.

That whole first quadrant (1 to 4 and 110 & 11) is giving some serious Barbie vibes.
I’ve wanted wedge sneakers for years, since the last time it was trendy, but haven’t found the right ones yet. Haven’t looked in awhile though, should get on that now before they get expensive, hahaha!
You’re totally right. I’ll blame all the Barbie hype circling about 😂
You should totally look now fit those shoes, especially since it’s still kind of off season and people are not really looking for fall footwear quite yet. In my search I came across so many colours that I never knew they came in. I thought it was pretty much the standard brown, cream, black and was pleasantly surprised.
I took a half day off work to see the Barbie movie. By myself, hahaha.
I found a pair of wedge sneakers I liked on ebay, a pair of dark Army green Nikes. But they were £45 and I had just bought myself a dress I’d had my eye on for a couple of years so I decided to wait until next month. And then I saw River Island is selling wedge sneakers now. So I decided to get them before they’re hot, and apparently good things come to those who wait because I had an offer for £3 off the original price. So I’ve just ordered them!
Good for you! Let me know how it is. I personally think it looks fantastic.
It’s funny how things work out like that. I should check out the River Island website because I haven’t looked in a while. There’s nothing like buying something that has been in your wish list for years. Such a satisfying feeling, I need to go through my wish list and fine tune it a bit.
Enjoy the movie!
