Something that I hate about holidays is cooking and preparing a big meal. I feel like it is a waste of money, time, and effort because my husband is usually the only one that really enjoys it.
After cooking a lot I usually don’t want to eat it, and the girls are picky and unpredictable, so I opted out this Easter.
I was going to brave the grocery store yesterday but thought, eff it.
I’m just going to order in.
And I did. Pizza and crazy bread for dinner and every last bit was eaten. No wasted money or effort and I don’t even feel a little bad about it.
This week it’s going to hit the 20s (Celsius) and I am not looking forward to it. Although the sunshine has been nice filtering in the living room windows throughout the day.
It really showcases all the cat hair…
Speaking of cat hair, has anyone tried one of these before? Does it work? What about this? I definitely need something that is specifically aimed at animal hair.
Anyway. Now on to books.
I am on a paranormal fantasy reading kick right now.
The ACOTAR series is one of my favourites which I have read 4-5 times in various forms of completion since the latest book came out not that long ago. (This is the first book)
The author has another series called Crescent City which is an incomplete series and I wish I would have taken that into consideration before I started it because it leaves at a massive cliffhanger, and now I have to wait until January, and it is driving me insane.
But it’s kind of refreshed my love of reading and currently reading > sleeping, and it’s kicking my ass, but I just can’t slow down or stop.
I am literally downloading any paranormal fantasy recommendations I get, so I can seamlessly move from one book to another without much thought.
It’s reminding me of the year 2008, I think, maybe 2007 that I read 285 books. That was a rather unproductive year for me in all other areas of life.
Escapism at its best.
