I know you are all sitting on the edge of your seats to find out what happened to my Levi’s and the patch situation from my last post. I can happily report that I did manage to get them all off without accidentally causing any rips or holes.

It took a lot of hours, and the double patch leg is fine, but the leg with the single indigo patch has dye transfer in the shape of the patch. I tried Oxyclean, but I don’t want to soak them too much since they are vintage.

I’ll just have to deal with a faded magenta dye mark and embrace it as a characteristic of them being vintage.

Levi’s are hard to date. Although you can get within a certain time frame based on specific things that were only used during those times.

I determined the jeans I found are in the 1993-2002 range. The first hint was that the care tag says Made in the US, which automatically makes them from 2002 or before.

This is because Levi’s stopped making their jeans in the US in 2003.

After that point, only their reproduction vintage line, and a few higher-end more expensive jeans were made there.

I believe all of their jeans are now made outside the US as of 2019. So if you are out secondhand shopping and come across a pair of Levi’s, check and see where they were made.

If it is in the US, then grab them quickly and you can figure out the rest of the dating at home where you can examine them better.

The Cult sweater that I bought has had a restocking, along with some new colours. When I got mine for Christmas there were almost completely sold out.

Two sizes were left in the style I got, which wasn’t my first choice, but I really wanted it and at that time they never said anything about restocking in the future.

I actually really like one of the new colours. It is my favourite blue.

I am also reevaluating my style adjectives. Style is this weird process of really getting to know yourself and taking notes of mental shifts in this direction.

My adjectives are currently chill, classic, and versatile with a modifier of unexpected. But I have been thinking that with my wardrobe, versatility is just automatic.

It has to be.

So I want to take out the versatile and move up the unexpected and add a touch of masculine.

So chill, classic, and unexpected with the modifier masculine.

That feels more detailed and much more specific to me.
