When we were moving into this condo and deciding where we were going to put things, I quickly claimed this little window area as my “office”. Office in this sense is just an area that is actually part of the living room and kitchen that is big enough for my desk.

So basically a sort of nook with a full floor to ceiling window with a great view.

Which I actually see as a wasted view since my desk partially covers the window and the sun blasts through obscuring my vision, so I keep the blinds drawn for most of the day.

It’s making me rethink the whole setup and how I could possibly shift things to make this area more open to benefit from the large window without covering it.

It would make a nice spot for a chair.

I don’t know where I would put my desk though.

Maybe I should start making scale floor plans again.

You know when you get something in your mind that you want, and you can never find something that ticks all the boxes?

I love boots, and high shaft boots are very on trend this fall/winter season.

But every pair I see has a heel that is too high for me.

While I appreciate a high heel, and think it looks great, it’s just not practical, and I won’t wear it.

If I have to concentrate too hard to walk, then it just won’t be something that sits in my closet with all that lost potential.

So, the high shaft boots that I have been looking for must have a kitten heel. And of course all the ones that I have seen and fallen in love with are designer mega money styles which isn’t feasible.

This pair by TOTÊME are my ultimate, and I wish that this was a realistic clothing budget for me, but it’s not even close.

Arket has something about half that but still much more than I wanted to spend.

Bring forth Sara’s late-night shopping which usually leads to unexpected impulse purchases but in this instance was not impulse at all.

Friday around 2am, so I guess Saturday, I was getting ready to shut everything down for the night and decided I would do a quick check at some of my favourite online consignment shops since they periodically list new items throughout the day.

You need to check often or you’ll miss something. Especially if you are looking for something particular.

Well, what do you know? There was a pair of boots that check all the boxes and were within budget.

These are them, and this is one of my favourite consignment shops. They are listed as a 39/9, but I am an 8-8.5 and often take a 39, so fingers crossed they fit.

And even if they don’t, I will just wear an insole.

I wanted some cozy shearling insoles last winter and this would be a good excuse to get them.

Bring on fall weather.
