I decided to go with a fall Paris Packing list this week because I like to follow the reasons that people are visiting my blog. By checking the trends and sources of these trends I can see what people are looking for at a particular time.

So based on my Google traffic, Pinterest, and popularity of posts for the last couple of weeks I have noticed the trend that people are searching for Paris packing lists.

So instead of having the traffic all direct to old posts, I like to try to make an updated version and place the new link in the old posts, if that makes any sense?

So that is a long-winded way of saying that a lot of people might be visiting Paris this fall season and I am updating the packing list.

The traffic trend also was showing a neutral, minimalist capsule wardrobe, so I somewhat hybridized those two concepts into this post.

I find that the packing lists also make a great starting off point for capsule wardrobes as well which actually makes a lot of sense since ultimately a packing list is a more condensed version of a capsule wardrobe.

You often just need a few things to round it out for an entire season.

As you can see, I included the blue boots that I bought for my birthday because they are awesome. I also included them because they add a nice bit of visual interest to an otherwise fairly neutral wardrobe.

Plus, they have a block heel that is easy to walk in. If you are going to wear any type of heel while travelling, especially to Europe, a block heel is the best choice.

Any heel that is too thin can be very hard to manoeuvre on cobblestone streets.

You can see me wearing them here.

I also included a pair of boyfriend jeans that I bought from Zara recently, and I love them.

They are the perfect wash, button fly, slightly slouchy with a wider cute straight leg. The length is perfect on my 5’3″ body, but they also look fantastic cuffed.

They remind me of vintage Levi’s, and they are also 100% cotton which means they will stretch and break in with wear and become even better.

I got my regular size and I love the way they fit. I am looking forward to when I work them in a bit too though to see how they relax. You can see me wearing them here and here.

I don’t wash jeans very often. You actually aren’t supposed to according to Levi’s care guide, which makes jeans a really great choice for bringing on vacation.

It doesn’t usually get too cold in the fall, so a trench coat is a nice coat option, along with a blazer that layers over what you are bringing, and on the days that you don’t need a coat a sweater will or cardigan will work instead.

Shown below are some outfit ideas for what to wear in Paris, put together from this packing list.

  1. Sara! This is for me! I’m one of the folks who’s been searching for inspiration for my trip to Paris in October. Love the combos and pops of color you have on this one. Thank you!
