It is about two weeks until school starts and I still haven’t figured out our game plan. It is Roo’s last year of high school and my plan for the writing course went into the shitter since it now won’t be ready until spring 2020.

I am not really sure what way to go with it now.

This might in fact be the year when I finish the plans the night before.

I hope not.

With how all the numbers are increasing daily it makes me wonder if we are going to have a repeat of last fall but in a larger magnitude since it seems to be affecting kids more this time around.

It’s worrisome and stressful and it makes me thankful that we actually homeschooled before all this happened because I don’t know how it would have worked out if I got thrown into it like so many did last year.

That being said, did I share this bit of news?

I am going back to school also…kind of.

Not school for a 4-year program kind of school but I am going back (albeit online) to take a Fashion Styling Program at George Brown. It probably will take a year, maybe a year and a half depending on which courses are available in which semesters.

I am not certain how many classes that I should register for to start with. There are five in total that are necessary to complete the program.

I’m just not certain if I sign up for a few then I might be biting off more than I can chew when you factor in schooling the kids and this blog.

BUT…I’d like to actually complete a college program at some point in my life.

A little history on my education. Right after high school, I took Museum Studies, Travel and Tourism, and Business. I didn’t finish any of them. I opted to work full time at the job I was working at while attending college.

I would have been one of those people that benefitted from working a few years before going to college. But I thought that it was the next step that I had to take because everyone else was doing it.

I always figured that I would go back at some point but time and money are fleeting and I never got around to it.

The closest I came was when I took an accounting course about 12 years ago to see if I liked accounting. I did really well with the course but I definitely don’t like accounting.

I figure that this would benefit what I do on here, as well as allow me to branch out in the future if I could figure out how :/

So that’s my exciting news for the week. I hope you are well.

Stay safe.
