We’ve got boxes! Home Depot is now open and we were able to pick some up. I would have prefered to get them from someone that just moved and wanted to pass them but that didn’t work out.

It seems that either no one is moving or no one wants to deal with the hassle which I understand at this time because usually, Kijiji is full of people wanting to get rid of moving boxes.

Tom absconded with my little red wagon tonight so we can’t load any boxes up to bring down yet, although I can hear Roo packing her ass off (lots of tape sounds) which is motivating.

Happy Friday, but it’s now actually Saturday since it is after midnight and I haven’t posted yet. We spent the day today bringing some stuff downstairs to the new apartment.

Since we still don’t have any boxes we were fitting as much stuff as we could into our grocery wagon and bringing it down bit by bit…which is super long and tedious.

Update: both girls decided that they don’t care if their rooms are painted white. Merle said she likes the pink colour, and Roo said she is just going to cover it up with posters.

We found an apartment! It was the one that we went to see last weekend that is in our building. Tom dropped off the cheque on Friday and we get the keys on Monday.

It needs to be painted before we start bringing stuff down which will be accomplished I have no idea when, but we haven’t even given notice for this place yet.

I am tired. Physically, and mentally. Once again they have pushed our lockdown for two more weeks. Toronto, Peel, and North Bay are the only cities that are still not open yet in the province.

We could easily drive to a city outside the boundaries to do something, but I am not going to be that person. That’s what got us to this point in the first place.

So two more weeks it is.

Well, we still haven’t heard back about the apartment. Waiting for other people to do their part is why I always sucked at teamwork. I HATE having to depend on someone else to get something done.

On a positive note, we are going to see another one that we nicknamed The Blue One, because of its sky blue walls.

I’m not a big fan of the blue (the girls like it), but I am sure we could paint it grey or something at some point.

Okay…so we went to look at two more condos today. They were both nice, but one was bigger and one was nicer. We quickly applied for the nicer one, only to be told that it rented before I even finished filling out the application.

That is how fast real estate moves here :/

I was getting excited and mentally planning out where I was going to put stuff.
