I think this is the final list of items that I bought to update my wardrobe before I switch over to my fall/winter capsule.

I mentioned way back when I posted my spring/summer capsule wardrobe that I can’t afford to spend a lot of money all at once to update it for another season.

My purchases need to be spread out over a bit so it seems less damaging. I am also planning to transfer a bunch of items that I used in my last capsule into this one with a few weather orientated updates. Continue Reading

Tis’ the season to find swimsuits for a great price. Even though August just began I noticed that stores are clearing out their summer stock to make room for fall and back to school fashion, so this is a good time to buy that swimsuit you might have wanted at the beginning of the season but couldn’t justify the cost. It’s that time of the season to be thinking about building and transitioning to a fall wardrobe. I have picked the kids up a few pieces at a time and while I am doing that I am always checking the new fall stock for me. I was going through my closet and deciding what things I could bring forward to fall and winter to get an idea of what I would need to buy. I enjoyed having a capsule wardrobe last season and I plan on sticking with it for now. Since fall is so short around here having a more winter-based cold season based wardrobe makes a lot more sense. It’s easier to dress down for an unexpected warm day than it is to layer up if you don’t have enough cold weather options. Continue Reading
