Outfit of the Day and Value Village Haul

Holy shit I look really short in this picture. I guess that is inescapable since I am actually not super tall but not as short as this makes me look.

I fall at 5’3″ just under the average 5’4″ – 5’7″ range.. It’s probably the boots that add to the shortness since they hit my knee but that is okay, I still love them.

So this is my outfit of the day. Before you go, “that’s not your outfit of the day! There is no way you were wearing that many layers today because it was really hot and humid.” I confess that this was yesterday’s (Sunday) outfit when it was rainy and a hell of a lot cooler out.

Late Nights, Donuts, and Outfit of the Day 5

Today’s outfit of the day was a dress. Just a casual style with sandals, a hat, and a tucked braid. I am only 5’3″ and this dress falls to a weird spot on me making me look shorter than I am (which I obviously don’t need). I am thinking of bringing it to get altered to hit right at or right below the knee taking 2-3 inches off. I also need to invest in a pair of Spanx because this style isn’t very forgiving and accentuates every bump good and bad. Continue Reading →

Outfit of the Day 4 Casual Comfort

Casual grocery shopping wear is my outfit of the day. It is one of my go-to looks, simple layers, my favourite black boots, coral lips, and a side braid half-tucked under a straw fedora.

One of my favourite things is when you spend time to meal plan for the week, you write out a list of everything you need, then go through the flyers and see where the best place to shop based on your list/plan is only to have the plan fall apart on you. This is outfit of the day 3. I describe this outfit as my “hurry and run to the store before I get pissed on by rain” outfit. My hair is in my go-to braid and I am wearing sandals when in fact I should once again be wearing my rain boots. Let Me Tell You a Secret – Outfit of the Day

No I didn’t mean to pidgeon toe (I actually hate pidgin toe poses), and yes I noticed the pole that looks like it is coming out of my ass 😉

I am going to let you in on a little secret of mine. It’s not like a huge secret or anything but it can be embarrassing at times. I have a large head. So large that sometimes I have to buy men’s hats to get a proper fit. So in the above photo I am wearing a man’s hat from H&M. I snuck over to the men’s side and grabbed one quickly before sneaking back to the women’s side to try it on. It wasn’t so obvious that way. Continue Reading →
