I tried something different this week by listing the outfit breakdown of items under each image, with the original brand beside each item. I figure this might help when the items are old or secondhand, and you want to see if you can find one.

Usually when I see something that I like that I want to know more about, I will try a reverse image search, but honestly it is usually helpful about 60% of the time. At least this way you can see the brand, which helps with searches.

I took some styling tips from Parker Posey in Pary Girl this week and wore my sweater as a shrug. I wore it as a sweater too so you can see what it actually looks like un-shrugged.

And I think it is on clearance sale too. It is cashmere, really soft and oversized, and I am wearing a medium. Non-returnable, though, due to being on clearance. So if you are uncertain about sizes, the size chart is accurate.

There was a vintage Rocky Horror Picture Show sweatshirt on Poshmark that I saved a few months back. Originally, they were asking $200, so I just saved it so I would get notified of price drops.

Now that Tim Curry died, they increased the price to $800…so I guess I missed that boat.

Do you know what drives me batshit? When you tell your spouse to do something before they fall asleep (because you know they will) and they say, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to fall asleep,” then literally 4 minutes later you hear them snoring.

Not my problem.

So the blue striped shirt I am wearing above under the sweater is from last season, but it looks like they have a similar blue this season. I sized up for a bit of room, but honestly my regular size probably would have been better.

I also really like this argyle sweater. I have a love/hate thing with argyle, but this is a really large one versus the small rows, and I like the large-scale look of it.

Oh man, I am so excited for fall. Not even because I think things are going to be better. I just want to breathe cold air and wear a coat.

Speaking of things being shit.

How are we doing, friends? It’s been a really rough time lately, and it feels like there is no end in sight. I know that it has been kicking the shit out of my mental state, and I also know that I am not alone in that.

So I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is coping. Now that the weather has cooled a bit, I have been doing a lot of daily walks, trying to see if it helps.

I can’t say that it does, but I am sure it isn’t making anything worse, except when I grossly overestimate how many groceries I can carry. That isn’t an enjoyable walk.

Maybe I’ll go to the library tomorrow because it is literally across the street. I miss when my girls were young, and we would go weekly to check out like 30 books.

Pre-2020, when the world didn’t seem quite so bad.

Maybe I will check out 30 books for myself.
