There is something so special about Sundays that always seems to give me a headache. I don’t know what that is about, but it was a rough one today—alternating the acetaminophen and ibuprofen all bloody day long.
I gave up and chugged a coffee at like 9:30 pm and then went to lie down and hoped for the best, and in 20 minutes it started to dissipate.
Caffeine often helps, and I did drink some throughout the day, but I really wanted to avoid a late-night coffee.
I am glad that I didn’t because I actually feel human again. Caffeine doesn’t usually keep me awake, so I should be fine at bedtime, but talk about a wasted day. If it isn’t something, it is another.
Now, to feel productive, I am going to throw on a late wash and post a minimum of 5 Poshmark listings before bed, so I don’t feel like the entire day was a write-off.
The heatwave finally broke, and while still hot, it should be bearable this week, which might motivate me to get dressed because last week I was not inspired at all.
Not to get myself too excited yet, but two separate stores that I went into last week had a few fall boots and sweaters starting to come out. So yay to that.
Steve Madden had a nice pair of square-toed, flat heel, black leather booties which also come in a lighter brown suede, if you are looking to get a head start on fall.
These don’t appear to be on the Canadian site yet, even though I saw them in the store, but they are on the U.S. one.
Anyway, thankfully, we are at the “all summer merchandise is on sale” part of the season, which makes me happier than you can know.
I am really looking forward to the cold wind and ice pellets hitting me in the face. I literally cannot wait.
When my youngest was little, when we were driving in the winter, she always asked to have her window down a bit so she could have the icy air in her face.
She thrives in the cold. In the summer, I always have to monitor her to make sure she isn’t going to pass out because she turns almost purple in the heat, so it is safe to say we don’t do many outdoor activities for these few months.
Which I guess is a good way to save some money.
Also, I found my exact Balenciaga large city work bag on eBay in the silvery blue-grey colour which I rarely see, but it is pricey. I found mine quite a while back at a consignment shop for $350 because apparently no one wanted the large version, so it kept getting marked down.
That apparently isn’t the case now.
