Sorry, wifi issues, and I live in a concrete building, so connecting my computer to my phone is so slow. Thankfully, the wifi kicked back in and I was able to finish before 5 am, which it felt like it was going to be.
I’ll blame it on the heat since it was abhorrent today. I’ll blame everything on the heat.
I had to run out to grab some stuff this afternoon, and I almost stepped on two dead baby birds. It was so sad, and I felt terrible just leaving them there. Their death was probably from the heat, too.
Then, when I was walking away, I almost got hit by a car. So all in all, it was a good day.
I knew I should have stayed home.
Although I did get to borrow Simons changeroom mirror, because they have good changerooms there.
And while in there, I also tried on some Bermuda shorts. The shorts were actually good, but I grabbed the wrong size, and I have no money to buy any new clothes, so I couldn’t be bothered to get a different size.
I tried them in brown, but they also had them in a grey check.
And being on the perpetual hunt for the perfect striped shirt, I shared a collection of them in the roundup in colour combinations that I like. Just in case you were wondering why there are so many striped shirts tonight.
Just a few minutes ago, I finished the series Elle. It’s cute, and the soundtrack is great. A trip back to 1995 is something that I needed.
In case you missed it, I talked about being a quiet luxury reject in yesterday’s post.
Now I am going to go make some waffles and go to bed.

I only know a few of her songs, but I kinda love Olivia Rodrigo. I remember the Lilith Fair back in the 90s, and while I loved the idea of it, but the actual lineup was a bit boring to me. But man, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Garbage alongside artists like Doechii and Katseye, even if I don’t like individual acts I love the diversity of it.
I’m sorry your day was so awful, poor baby birds. Glad you got home safe after the narrow miss with the car!
I don’t listen to Olivia Rodrigo but I would definitely go to this concert. I feel like we were really due for a women performers only festival/concert, and I’m surprised no one has actually tried to bring back the Lilith fair. In this current climate of the world, it would definitely be successful because women are actively seeking these types of events.
