Recently, I have had an obsession with silk and finding vintage and preloved items that are made of silk, so this week I have quite a few pieces that are silk or silk blend fabrics.
It’s just such a luxurious fabric to me, and it can be the most basic piece, but the fabric instantly elevates it like the vintage Armani silk trousers below.
The 1960s jacket before those trousers is also silk, and the shape is almost antique, like a Victorian or Edwardian women’s jacket with the mandarin collar and puff shoulders.

This skirt is also silk and also by Armani. And while I am a sucker for snake print, I also really like the shape and detailing of this skirt.
How about a statement chain necklace from Kenneth J Lane, which is always a favourite. I tend to gravitate to his animal pieces more, but his regular jewellery tends to always be statement pieces as well.

I feel like Oxford and Derby shoes are going to have a moment again really soon, like fall, maybe when the academia style always comes full force.
These Ferragamo ones have a nice block heel that makes them a bit dressier too.
What I love about fall is the lush fabrics and the colours. This vintage DKNY little jacket is velvet, and it reminds me of a jacket that I had in the mid-to-late 90s, except in a deep burgundy.

A simple little suede shoulder bag that is Ralph Lauren from the Y2K era. It is a great shape and great colour.
Can you tell that fall is on the brain?
I am not a really feminine or romantic style dresser, but I am so drawn to coats like this.
It is a silk and cotton blend, and I think if paired with beat-up jeans or masculine inpsired torusers might give a really good contradiction vibe with a lot of friction.

The little baguette-style bag is one of my preferred bag shapes in summer. And this peachy colour is perfect.
The aggressively square-toed Miu Miu Mary Janes of yesteryear are forever on my wishlist, like this gold pair. These are fucking fabulous.

How about a perforated-style shoe for summer?
I love these, which are vintage Prada. The colour combination and the perforation make these quite an interesting shoe choice for summer.
Vintage bed jackets are a forever share for me, but this one differs from the traditional light pink/peach or ivory coloured ones that I tend to share.
It is black with a subtle polka dot pattern. I really enjoy the contradiction of the colour on such a feminine piece. It has a gothic or vampiric feel.

Or how about the 2000s Prada shoes in a fabulous yellow and a completely wearable heel?
This vintage 90s neon green cropped jacket is silk, and it caught my eye immediately last week. I have been sitting on it because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use it in this post or a wardrobe one.
But ultimately, if I wait too long, it will sell, and then I can’t share it with you at all. This is like an ultimate statement jacket to me.

Lastly, we have two more snake print pieces. First, this amazing vintage blazer that I very much want.
And this green little baguette. It is like a Y2K personality piece. You can always tell a Y2K by looking at it.

Silk and snake print seemed to be the theme of the day, so I just rolled with it. Sometimes I fixate on something particular, and it becomes my search focus for the day.
This is the result of that fixation.
