I just noticed today how many blue pieces I have in my wardrobe. If you had told me this about 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed you because of how much I hated the colour blue.

When did this change of heart happen?

I have no idea, but I became increasingly drawn to the colour over the years and can’t believe how many awesome clothes I passed up for decades because they were blue.

So weird.

I resurrected my thrifted large silk flower brooch this week and have been wearing it with every outfit.

When I thrifted it quite a few years ago, it was around $2, but I never wore it much.

Not because I didn’t like it, but because I tend not to grab for accessories unless they are right there in front of me.

So I moved it right there in front of me.

Besides the brooch pin on the back, it also has a squeeze clip, so you could wear it as a hair accessory, which I am very much not going to do.

But the clip does make a nice option if you don’t want to push a pin through certain fabrics.

So my tip of the day is if you want to jazz up a basic outfit, just throw a large brooch on it. It instantly makes it more interesting.

I linked a similar one that comes in a variety of sizes and colours.

Lots of rain this week, and it reminded me how frizzy my hair gets when it is damp and there is a lot of humidity in the air. Not even hats help, so that’s another thing I hate about summer.

It cooled down a lot today, to the point that there was even a short spell of flurries, which is always weird to see when it is almost May.

There is a new, large Winners opening up nearby sometime this week that I am going to have to visit. Winners is where I always find my cats-dressed-as-humans pictures.

Not that I need more, but you can never have too many.

I can feel a headache starting to brew, so I’m signing off.
