It has been so stuffy in the apartment this week that I am severely lacking motivation. While outside isn’t too hot yet, the sunshine is making it cook in here during the day.
I cannot wait until air conditioning season. Hopefully, they will do it earlier this year, but I won’t hold my breath.
I have worn glasses since I was three, and contacts since I was 14. For the last many, many years, it feels like it could be 15-20 now, I have worn a specific brand.
Apparently, I don’t like change.
But I recently ran out, and instead of going with my regular ones, I searched around and tried Kits Daily lenses because they were cheaper. Being broke helps to make a lot of decisions.
Anyway, I think I have a new brand because I like these a lot. Sometimes it pays to try new things.
Okay, a few things that caught my eye this week. First, I am having a love-hate relationship with these silk Bermudas.
I love them because they are so cute and different, and this new Bermuda length is so much better than the shorty versions of this style, which tend to look very lingerie or nightwear.
And the hate part is because they are shorts, and we know how I feel about those.
Next, I have been trying to motivate myself to exercise a bit, to hopefully slowly turn it into a habit so I feel better both physically and mentally.
This means that I am looking for some cute workout gear because all I have are some really old leggings that fit like a sausage casing, and jogging pants that fall off when I walk.
So while I was looking around, I saw the above leggings from Athleta. I love a good animal print. And then I was thinking a nice fitting, looser-style pant because I don’t love leggings, and an alternative would be nice.
Then the pink tee, because who doesn’t love a little bit of colour to motivate you when you would rather be doing anything else than exercising.
It reminds me of a fluorescent pink American Apparel t-shirt that I had in the early 2000s.
Since I liked the black fitted tee from yesterday’s post so much, I figured this style might be a good option too.
Right now, I am still in the thinking-about-it mode and making do with my old stuff. But they are currently on my workout gear wishlist.
And the fact that I even said that I have a workout gear wishlist scares me a bit.
My favourite piece from the whole roundup, though, is the striped oversized Henley. That’s pretty fabulous, and it is 100% cotton.
