I got to wear the new Adidas x Song of the Mute sneakers that I bought last week. I guess I got really lucky with them because after I posted about them, I received a few messages saying that they were no longer on the site.
The first time I saw them was like a sneak peek way back in January, and I have been keeping an eye out since then.
I knew that they were supposed to come out around September, so just for shits and giggles I searched them last week, and imagine my excitement and surprise to see that they were being sold at Holt Renfrew.
It was literally the only place that I saw them, but at that moment, I didn’t think much about it and grabbed them quickly.
They shipped super fast, and I received them basically the next day.
Then I saw the stock pages were pulled down for every colour, and I realized that they probably put them for sale before the release date, which is something I have experienced with books before.
So I guess that is why they aren’t available currently, and I am not certain of the actual release date, mid-September, maybe.
In the meantime, I will keep my eyes open and be grateful that I got lucky with the timing.
Aside from the sneakers, I didn’t buy anything else new this week.
But I am currently going through my wardrobe and pulling out what items I ended up not wearing this summer. I really need to stop buying for that season.
Summer should be my no-buy time because I am usually disappointed with, or don’t wear, what I buy, and it would be a good way to save money.
Lessons learned the hard way. Again.
