So yeah, the weather was glorious today, and I got to wear my new vintage suede coat which you can see here. It was so nice out that both my girls voluntarily opted to go with me to run errands.
They tend to try and avoid the summer heat as much as possible because neither one does really well in hot weather. They overheat fast.
So when the temps start to drop, we take advantage of it.
I was finally able to take them to the new music store that opened nearby, and I bought each of them a CD. Yep, the kids are loving physical copies of music again, and I love it.
Other than that, it was a fairly uneventful week, which I guess is good. I can’t believe summer holidays are officially over now.
In case you missed it, I posted an anti-capsule for fall yesterday. I love the anti-capsule posts.

I was looking at the Tom Morello playlist, amused by how similar it is to my own resistance playlist. I saw the song from Hadestown, which I’ve heard of, but am not really familiar with, and was thinking he even has songs from a musical, although on my list it’s Hamilton. And then he’s got a song from the Hamilton mixtape, hahaha.
Also, loving the return of physical media. My 8 year old got her first CD player for her birthday last year. So far her collection consists solely of a BTS greatest hits compilation and the Wicked part 1 soundtrack, though she also wants the K Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack (went to the sing along last weekend, it was fun), and is asking for Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BlackPink and Stray Kids for her next birthday. We can blame my 63 year old Boomer mom for the K Pop obsession, Mom is super into Stray Kids and has seen them twice, hahaha. It is pretty damn catchy though, and I like that it makes her interested in learning about other cultures.
