As you can see, this week was all about the leather jacket. After becoming reacquainted with a small collection of vintage leather jackets that I had stored away with the intent to sell, I decided that I might keep one or two.
Like the very first one.
It is funny how a few years back this wasn’t one of the jackets that I intended to keep for myself because it didn’t align with my style.
Over the last few years I have really focused in on and shifted in what I am drawn to, so while a few years ago I looked at that jacket and decided it wasn’t for me, this time I got a thrill of excitement when I saw it.
The funnel neck alone would have won me over, but then you have the A-line shape, and 3/4 length bell sleeves, and the broken-in soft leather and we have a recipe for a vintage score.
It’s vintage Danier for anyone interested. And for some reason, Danier has always made any and every style of leather jacket. I swear I have never seen two vintage Danier jackets that were the same.
It’s really weird, but leads to some gems.
I also wore my snake print boots for the first time and they are a definite win. They have an elongated square toe, and a flat heel. They are comfortable and true to size.
Now I need to go work on some client’s wardrobes, and maybe do some wardrobe planning for the week for myself.
Is anyone else pretty much done Christmas shopping?
