Hear ye, hear ye, I want it to be known that Simons carries some Free People pieces. I was in there today and walked past a pair of jeans when “We the Free” caught my eye.

So I sauntered back and saw that they were a pair of Free People’s horseshoe denim. That immediately made me look for more stuff and I found a few dresses and tops.

This makes me wonder if it is like a soft launch to see how it does. That would be awesome if they carried a line of their stuff because it is way too expensive to order from the US.

I didn’t buy any Free People pieces today but I did get a sweater which is from one of Simons in-store brands. It is in my favourite green which is everywhere this season, and 100% cotton.

It was a great find because I had my eye on the Zara green cashmere sweater. This one is a much better deal, and I am not certain of the quality of Zara cashmere anyway.

I went up a size for a looser fit.

Now on to the topic of perimenopause which I am happy to see finally being talked about, but shit it sucks.

Aside from some uncomfortable jaw and teeth pain at certain points, the brain fog, and tiredness can be debilitating and I am experiencing anxiety for the first time ever.

It hit me pretty rough last night and today. This shit is no joke. Yikes.

I have been doing a lot of rhythmic breathing today trying to calm everything down and now I just want to go to bed which I am going to attempt to do earlier than I usually do.

But every time I say earlier, it always ends up even later. Pretty soon I will have my sleeping time reversed from night to day if I don’t get it figured out.

Anyway, the heat is back to normal temps and it sucks because I have so many great fall pieces that I can’t wait to bust out again.

Oh! Something I neglected to mention before. I bought a cardigan from H&M which was $17.99. I wasn’t expecting much but I liked the colour, so I was immensely pleased when it arrived and it is great.

It’s a soft knit and fits perfectly, giving a 90s minimalist feel.

I saw a mannequin in the store wearing the grey version (which didn’t exist when I bought this one) paired with the brown faux suede skirt I included in my last post.

This makes me want it in grey and navy. You can see me wearing it in outfit #3. It works well as a shirt, but also looks great layered over other pieces.

It looks like the Canadian site is out of the brown but they have other colours. The store I was in last night had the brown in stock though.

Anyway, an inexpensive way to add a piece to your wardrobe that you will probably get a lot of wear from as the weather cools because it is simple yet effective.

That’s it.

Have a great week!
