I permitted myself to spend the weekend reading. I haven’t sat and just read for hours in the middle of an afternoon for a very long time. I’ve actually not been reading more than a few pages a day lately because I am so tired and bedtime is always so late.

So I got recommended a book and chose to jump all in and it was nice.

It was actually a really, really good book and if you are a fan of Sarah J. Mass then you will probably really like this one as well.

It is called Quicksilver by Callie Hart and it is available on Kindle Unlimited if you are interested.

It’s brand new and the first in a series, but it doesn’t leave you on a huge cliffhanger so you will be okay waiting for a few months for the next instalment in October.

The genre is paranormal fantasy romance or romantacy, so if you don’t enjoy that then you should probably skip.

I am a lover of all kinds of genres and a great world building fantasy series that has romance it is usually my chosen escapism before going to bed.

It is a long weekend here, and I just finished the book. I kind of wish that I allotted the last third to tomorrow but I couldn’t put it down. Now I have nothing to read.

Maybe I’ll reread it slower. I love to reread something immediately after so I can catch the things I missed the first time now that I know what happens. It makes you see it with different eyes.

Maybe I can actually get my ass into bed earlier tonight. That would be nice.

I also hope there are no fireworks tomorrow for Canada Day.

They do them right across the street which is cool to see from our balcony, but it causes Toodleman immense stress so I am rooting for them to be rained out.

I used to have a dog that would have siezure every time there were fireworks. It’s not worth it.

Have a great week.
