If you missed it, late last night on my Instagram Stories I shared some of my favourite looks from the Celine Winter show. It focused on indie, and it was like a trip down memory lane.

Someone mentioned to me that a lot of the looks reminded them of an early to mid 00s Kate Moss and I totally agree.

Many people think that there wasn’t really a style and fashion was kind of blah in the early to mid 00s, but I totally disagree.

Indie was such a distinctive and iconic look and I absolutely love it.

I haven’t had a fashion show resonate so much in a long time and I look forward to them bringing many of these elements back again into stores over the next couple of seasons.

So if you haven’t got yourself a skinny scarf, now is the time before fall hits and everyone wants one.

I have had good luck thrifting them in the past, but they are also starting to pop up in retailers. I am also itching for a red band jacket.

It’s also a good time to jump on Birkenstock Bostons, and Ugg Minis, especially the brown colours. They are always the first to go once fall comes.

I’ll link the Celine show here if you want to watch the video, but if you are interested in just the individual looks that are easier to look at and analyze, you can see them here.

It’s worth your time just for the inspiration alone.

Cool weather clothes just have so much more personality to me. It is the art of layering and the use of accessories that really amp up these looks.

It’s the perfect time of year to start getting inspiration and planning out your fall wardrobe and I couldn’t be more excited.

  1. this celine a/w 23 has me so, so excited. the velvet, the tall boots, the handbags! #6 is my favorite look, i’m going to need zara or h&m to put out a cheaper version of the jacket in that look. i’m also really digging the looks featuring capes, they really seems to make such a simple but commanding statement. i love coats and jackets but i’ve never tried on a cape. i’ll definitely keep them on my radar as the new arrivals for fall start to trickle in.

    • Yes me too! Capes and coats with attached wrap scarves, or those really large knit capes that you just wrap around. All of those are notable outerwear. I feel like we’ll see these jackets like #6 for certain. Keep an eye on Mango too because they have really good similar styles past seasons. And for the capes, check Poshmark or Etsy. There are some glorious vintage versions.
