Once again I had some big plans of accomplishment today and once again the plans did not pan out. I was starting to work on a digital style guide based on style adjectives, but I realized how nice and quiet it was here, and I felt the urge to read.

I don’t know when the last time was that I read for pleasure in the afternoon.

It’s usually at 2 am when I get the time, so I grabbed it.

I was nice because the sun was blasting in, but I had the patio door cracked open to let in the cool breeze.

The kitten was sleeping beside me and I just read straight until around 6:30 when I figured it was time to think about dinner.

I did finally completely pull down the Christmas tree. Yikes.

It almost became the Easter tree which in fact we did do about a decade ago.

I don’t know, my kids aren’t super young. One is technically an adult, but it made them happy, and they asked me not to take it down earlier.

My oldest has had a hard 6 months, and it truly hurts no one, so we left it up.

I’m sure the people in the surrounding buildings that could see it illuminated through our window at night judged me though.

Not that it bothers me.

Although, I remember seeing someone with a tree lit in July and I thought it was awesome.

On an exciting note, my vintage letterman sweater and fringe jacket should be arriving tomorrow (hopefully), and fingers crossed I am not disappointed.

I plan to get that Style Adjectives Guide done this week, and I really want to go down to that storage room and look through the bins of vintage and secondhand items I have stored away.

They are my collection for when I set up the online shop.

I have been collecting for years and years.

Also, I am really interested to see if the vintage Adidas stirrups I bought are down there somewhere.

I feel like I might have randomly stuck them in a bin just to keep them safe when I was trying to declutter during the pandemic, and now I have no idea where they are.

I want to see if they still fit because they are AWESOME and would be perfect for layering this season.

I feel like they are going to be small though because if I remember correctly they were tiny.

One can always hope.
