The bonus about kids getting older is that they don’t try to get up at 5 am on holidays, so the kids slept in today, and it was nice because I was tired.
I am still tired.
They went to bed late, so I guess it cancels it out, but it felt a little like a sleep in.
I gave up trying to plan an Easter dinner and just went with spaghetti.
Every single time I cook a big meal, it feels like a waste and there is always a ton of leftovers that never get eaten.
So I decided that I’d make some spaghetti sauce because that is something that everyone will partake in with no complaints.
I also like not having to hide Easter eggs.
I let them pick out something that they wanted, and then filled an Easter basket with treats.
They both picked a variety of Monster High dolls from Poshmark because they collect them. They are also trying to piece them together, so they get complete dolls.
And now that Monster High Dolls are being re-released soon, they are even more eager to get their hands on the original dolls from 2010.
Apparently, this is the house of 100 million collections.
Currently, my teen is commissioning my youngest to sew her doll clothes for some of the dolls that came without.
They are picking fabrics, colours, and deciding on compensation.
It’s funny to overhear the process.
She’s quite the doll fashion designer now, so I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

*Outfit 4 has a shirtdress from Everlane. It is one of the first shirt dresses that I have tried on that doesn’t have the high side slits. I hate those and have returned more than I can count because of it. This one has full coverage and has a nice weight to the fabric, so it isn’t see-through. It also comes in striped, and black.
