I am tired. Physically, and mentally. Once again they have pushed our lockdown for two more weeks. Toronto, Peel, and North Bay are the only cities that are still not open yet in the province.
We could easily drive to a city outside the boundaries to do something, but I am not going to be that person. That’s what got us to this point in the first place.
So two more weeks it is.
We have two showings tomorrow. I actually feel really good about them. One just came on the market and it checks every box, so fingers crossed that this is the one.
It’s a couple of blocks down the street, which is still in the area we like, but on the opposite side if that makes sense.
I hope you are all doing well, and if any of you are living in the areas that are being affected by the crazy weather this week, my thoughts are with you.
Weekly Reads and Some Videos:
- The U.S. is seeing a spike in Anti Asian Hate Crimes. And if it is in the U.S. it is everywhere. I watched a video today and wanted to vomit. My teen and I were working on her Forensic Science course and we read and had a discussion about the Bystander Effect and how no matter what, you can’t just stand there doing nothing. Every day I realize more and more how fucked people really are.
- Wednesday is coming to Netflix. It is a live-action series directed by Tim Burton. This is exciting.
- History’s Deadliest Colours – TED-ed
- OneClock. I would like to try this.
- Lego Whitenoise Playlist.
- A Glimpse into North Korea on a Rainy Day
- Animals in clothing are one of my most favourite things ever and these are awesome. I’ve seen a lot of dogs in coats and boots this week and it has made my walks much more delightful.
- FartVac. Because we all know someone who would benefit from one of these.
- Parenting in the Digital Era.
Stay safe.

I found your blog/instagram sometime mid pandemic and it’s nice to hear from someone basically living my reality (also in Toronto). So hi, thank you for inspiring me to wear real clothes as a mom, and good luck on the showings!!
Thank you so much! The first showing is at noon today and I’m trying to be positive (I’m a pessimist by nature), but my husband said he feels lucky today, so we shall see. I’m just glad these places are empty because I’d feel so guilty walking through an occupied home.
I was bummed by the continued lockdown because just want to go thrift shopping again. I can’t wait until these two weeks are over, unless of course it becomes another two weeks 😂
I hope you and your family are well both physically and mentally. It’s been a long year.
