Weekly Reads and Finds

Well, we still haven’t heard back about the apartment. Waiting for other people to do their part is why I always sucked at teamwork. I HATE having to depend on someone else to get something done.

On a positive note, we are going to see another one that we nicknamed The Blue One, because of its sky blue walls.

I’m not a big fan of the blue (the girls like it), but I am sure we could paint it grey or something at some point.

It does have really nice kitchen (yay), no den (boo), two bathrooms (yay), a storage locker (yay), and is on a low floor and allows pets (double yay).

Most places say no pets and while they legally can’t forbid pets they can definitely choose not to rent out you because of them.

Which is why we don’t tell them and then sneak him in later since you are not legally allowed to evict someone because of a pet unless they cause a disturbance and you go through all the right steps/protocols to do so.

In other words, they won’t because it is too much trouble.

I think this one may have been sitting around a while because it is so low to street level.

Most people don’t like street noise but we actually do.

I find it highly entertaining to people watch, especially 2 am drunkards. We’ve always lived in noisy/busy areas (once above a bar) and it’s never been an issue.

This might work out in our favour. Fingers crossed.

*I bought the above tiger bath mat for the bedside rug beside Merle’s bed. They had one last year but I missed the boat, so I jumped on it quickly when I saw they brought it back again.

Stay safe.
