This morning was sunny, albeit hazy, and extremely hot so I thought I might go out to pick up a few groceries.

Then I recieved an alert on my phone which I thought was an Amber Alert but when I checked it saw that it was actually a tornado warning. 

Needless to say, that halted my outing.

Within minutes of the alarm, the sky turned black and the winds started. It was pretty intense for about 15 minutes but then seemed to just pass on by. 

I haven’t experienced a tornado warning in a long time. 

I’ll just attempt to put in an Instacart order instead.

I actually haven’t used Instcart all quarantine because the times that I tried I was unable to get a time slot.

There were also times that I actually looked forward to the solo grocery shopping anyway.

I think I might try to place an order since it is so bloody hot again and I don’t want to carry home 4L of milk, canned goods,  and cat litter :/ 

On a side note I was pretty stoked that I was able to get these sandals from Zara.

They have been sold out for about a month and didn’t show they were going to restock. I just happened to see them when I was going through my weekly checking of the site so I grabbed a pair.

They are really similar to the Everlane ones that I was going to buy several months back but didn’t want to spend the money at that time. 

They are on sale now for their Summer Sale. And the price is around what I paid for the Zara ones. 

You can also see the jacket that I ordered quite a while back arrived this week too. It took forever in the mail (a month) but it was defintely worth the wait.

I’m so pleased with it. The workmanship is amazing. 

Four positive things this week:

1. My phone finally arrived.
2. Roo actually picked the crap up off her floor and vacuumed it.
3. I didn’t order take out as much this week.
4. Tom got to work a couple of shifts, so there is now a light at the end of the work tunnel.
