Weekly Reads and Finds

On Wednesday when I was putting together the Weekend Packing List post I finally caved and made a purchase that has been 5 years in the making.

In the post I included the Cuyana Cape that has been on my wishlist for YEARS. You can actually see in the wishlist on my sidebar of the blog.

It’s not a huge purchase if you live in the US but I always have to take into consideration the exchange rate, shipping, then the inevitable duties and taxes that will be charged once it goes through customs.

Those extras always stopped me from making the purchase but I went through with it finally. So it was an impulsive non-impulse buy.

I have to say that Cuyana ships really fast.

Compared to all the delays here (I’ve had packages sitting there not moving for weeks). Through DHL is was in the country in less than 24hours.

I paid the duties online (an extra $56) as soon as I got the notification early this morning because I was hoping that it would get delivered today.

No such luck. It will probably arrive Monday unless they do weekend deliveries.

I can’t wait to see how many ways I can wear it.

And after much debating, I ended up buying it in camel. I was thinking about the grey because I wear a lot of black and grey, but honestly, I look much better in browns and golds.

I’m looking forward to this being an important member of my wardrobe.

Have a great weekend.

Stay Safe.

I could have easily lived here in my young and single days. I really hate loft beds though so I’d have to do a pullout or something.

I’m needing to feel accomplished so I may have to go through this list.
