Happy chocolate day. Easter is just about the Easter bunny in our house, so there is usually nothing much more than chocolate and dinner taking place on this weekend. Not that much more could happen at the moment anyway.
Yesterday I made the mistake of trying to run down to the pharmacy to buy Roo a Gift Card for her Easter Basket but the line up to get in was huge. This is the first long weekend during social distancing and it’s not fun.
Before it would have been jam-packed stores, now it is huge lineups outside the stores that you have to wait in and hope you don’t catch anything from people standing too close.
No thanks. I turned around immediately when I saw the lineup and just picked up a few of the other things that I needed at the convenience store (or least what they had available).
It ended up costing 4x more but it was much quicker and no people.
Since I didn’t get the gift card and you can’t get them online…which is weird. I made her an IOU and then just transferred some funds into her PlayStation store account.
Easier but less pretty.
Dinner was simple, and I made this chicken recipe which was easy and turned out amazing. I highly recommend it.
Then I got stuck doing Duolingo french for hours because I was trying to make sure I ranked this week. My competitive nature was coming out and it wasn’t cute 😉
Did I mention that Merle tried to wake me up a 5:30 am? That didn’t fly and she ended up just falling back asleep next to me for a few more hours.
All I needed was her to be ingesting chocolate that early in the morning because last easter she ended up puking at bedtime due to too many sweets throughout the day. Fingers crossed that doesn’t happen tonight.
