SHOP THE POST

I made much more of an effort to get dressed this week because honestly, it makes me feel more motivated. I will note that I didn’t actually wear the heels in outfit 3.

They are my new-used Poshmark shoes that I bought before the shit hit the fan. I haven’t got the chance to wear them yet and thought they would look better than bare feet in the photo.

I make my last payment on the second hand Jimmy Choo smoking slippers that I ordered the night we went into lockdown. I was stress shopping and decided that I would buy the shoes if they were still there because I had been watching them for a while.

They actually weren’t really expensive and were on sale on top of that. I just thought that it would be a better idea for me to spread out the cost instead of paying all at once given the current situation.

They give 3 months to pay but I opted for more frequent payments since the cost was low.

I have reined in stress shopping since them. I still look, and add to my basket but haven’t bought anything new except underwear from Walmart which I deemed essential since mine were almost disintegrating :/

Although my online baskets are exceedingly full at the moment.

In the last photo, I wasn’t wearing a jacket all day.

I only put it on a) because it made the outfit look better, and b) I went out on the balcony to clean up the mess from the pigeons who think it is funny to eat their lunch on there while taunting the cat through the window.

There were half muffins, buns, and pieces of apple all over. I didn’t know that pigeons could eat apples. Maybe that’s why the main one is so chubby.

Since Tom doesn’t qualify for employment insurance we have to apply for the CERB (Canadian Emergency Response Benefit) this week. It gives $2000 to qualifying Canadians each month for up to 16 weeks.

You have to apply each month as needed if you aren’t working or if you lose your job. It will help to lessen the stress of each day though, knowing that there is some money guaranteed to be coming in.

We are lucky because it will cover our rent. A lot of people won’t be as lucky.

  1. Your style is so wonderful. Because of you I got into Anine Bing. I went into her store in NYC last August and bought a tee and a great pair of boots. My husband was laughing at me. Good luck with the CERB registration this week, and stay safe!

    • Thanks so much! I’ve never been into an Anine Bing store but I would love too 😁 As for CERB, we can apply this Thursday since it goes by birth month. From what I hear it’s pretty easy which is a nice change. I hope you are safe and healthy ❤️
