Weekly Reads and Finds

How is everyone doing?

Aside from never knowing what day it is, it’s like the weird sense of new normalcy setting in now that we realize this is going to be for the long haul.

Monday the government website here in Canada opens up to an emergency relief type of funds for people who are not eligible for employment insurance and have lost work directly because of what is going on.

That’s Tom. He can’t get ei., but hopefully, we can get this. I guarantee that the website will be crashing all day long though so this should be fun. Thankfully he won’t have to go and wait in any lines.

Did I mention that he finally took the bed frame apart and got rid of it? It only took him being trapped in here for three weeks to realize that I was right all along (insert eyeroll emoji).

I’m getting really, really bored of cooking, so if you have come up with any good recipes to brighten your quarantine days feel free to share them below.

Have a great weekend inside 🙂

Weekly Reads (and maybe videos):

The Getty Museum Challenged People to recreate great works of art using items and people in their homes and it is hilarious.

This artist paints monsters into thrift store paintings. I would hang these up in my home.

This guy plays hit songs on a Baroque Lute.

Mr. Pokee.

My 90s TV. This was way too fun.

Children’s authors that are doing online read alouds (with activities).

Geography Now. It’s a good time to learn about the world.

The #bookface hashtag on Instagram is pretty enjoyable.

I had no idea that horses could grow moustaches. I’m learning new stuff in quarantine every day.

Visit the world while sitting on your ass.
