Yep, this isn’t a what I wore post, this is a what I didn’t wear.  This week taught me that my wardrobe really sucks in the loungewear department. Like, really, really sucks.

I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I have holes in 90% of my bedtime t-shirts and leggings, seams falling down left, right, and center. Stains, sweater bobbles, inadequate sizes, and absolutely nothing coordinates.

Not that loungewear needs to necessarily coordinate.

But if you are working for home you may want them too just a tad bit more.

This obviously didn’t bother me before because I wasn’t wearing it day in and day out. So if you only throw it on for bed then the only thing that you notice is the comfort level which is fine and dandy.

BUT, based on this past week I have drawn the conclusion that I need to up my loungewear game.

And based on what I am seeing on Instagram it seems a lot of us are foregoing our usual clothes for comfort and slippers.

But those of us that have to work from home, still want to have a sense of getting dressed in the morning but also want the comfort of loungewear.

I find that I can get into a more serious headspace when I get dressed for the day. I am a slippers person 365 days a year. Even during the summer, I sport a pair of slippers. They are the first things that I put on in the morning even before grabbing my glasses.

Every outfit is made from a combination of wardrobe basics that everyone probably has some version of, paired with a cute pair of slippers.

I’m now thinking that my next pair of slippers are going to be from Bohemia Design, but I can’t quite decide on the colour yet.

Which colour would you choose? I might be leaning towards mustard, but the sea green is gorgeous. I recently thrifted a seafoam coloured camisole from Value Village and I am really enjoying the colour.

One of my favourite sections to look through in thrift stores is the pyjama/undergarment section because they always have some amazing vintage camisole and slips. I have been doing that for the past 20+ years and still always wear them.

Today I have put together some work from home outfits that will keep you comfortable but still looking put together. Tomorrow I’m going to try to elevate my loungewear game, or maybe I just have too much time to ponder this shit 😉
