Whoo boy, yesterday was a long day. We started Merle’s birthday at the Dr Seuss Experience. It was fun, and definitely geared towards younger kids, but still enjoyable. Our city is the test market for it before it expands into the US, so I would say with a little tweaking here and there they could make it a whole lot better.
Then we hit a vintage toy shop to see if there was anything to add to her collection. The man who owns Treehouse Collectibles in Toronto is exceptionally nice, and I recommend it to anyone looking to add to their vintage toy collections.
After that, we went to the Silver Snail which is a really cool shop that is located on Yonge St by the Eaton’s Centre. So we obviously hit the Eaton’s Centre afterwards because we don’t go there very often.
I’m not sure if I am just completely immune to crowds now, or if the mall was less busy than usual, but it didn’t feel as bad as it could be at this time of year. I’m sure the crowds would have horrified some people though.
On a side note Tom picked up my Christmas present there, that I will share with you after Christmas. He bought it a Nordstrom, and I’ve never bought anything there before so I’m pretty stoked.
We finished it off by going to Dave and Buster’s for dinner and games. They have a surprisingly good dinner there, and if you ever go you should try the nachos because they are delicious.
I’m still sick, but slowly getting better. I thought I was catching something else yesterday. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if I did after what I am certain was an absolute germ fest at Dr Seuss. They had to kick everyone out of one of the rooms to disinfect it, which kind of makes me nervous as to what prompted that…
