SHOP THE POST
I had to go to the mall today because for some reason even though I ordered way before the “Get it before Christmas” cut off date for each item, I still have 5 packages sitting at customs at the border.
One of these items is Merle’s big present so I was feeling stressed that it wouldn’t make it. This is her main Santa present, and since she is still a firm believer I don’t really want to shit on her Santa belief and tell her that it’s going to be late.
Soooo, I went to the mall to see if I could find her a few small things that would work in case it doesn’t arrive. I picked her up a game, a STEM book, and some nice quality coloured pencils.
In true Sara form, guess what was sitting at the front desk of our building waiting for me when I walked in? Her missing gift.
Now if only the rest arrive. They are for Tom so it’s not quite as big a deal, but it would still be nice if they arrived seeing that his birthday present from Nov 19th still hasn’t come.
And that is the Canadian mail system in a nutshell and another reason why I begin really, really early.
